30th July 2016

On Tuesday 26th July I had a GP appointment and met Dr Ghanaviti (a locum) for the first time. He was exceptionally good, very capable and showed real concern about the continuous problems I was having. He immediately gave me a prescription for antibiotics for my chest infection, cream for a skin problem and then made sure I was booked in to see him again two days later to discuss my other health issues. This felt like 5-star treatment! It is sometimes so difficult to see a GP, and as good as the practice nurses are, with my long term serious illness they really can't help me quickly and treat me accurately in the way a doctor can. I had requested help first on Friday 22nd July, but was told by a nurse that I'd have to wait till Tuesday to see a doctor. I was ill and really should have had antibiotics on the day I phoned them. On the Thursday 28th July, when I met Dr. Ghanaviti again, we fully discussed the issues, and he gave me blood request forms, saying he wanted to see me as soon as the results came back. I came away feeling that at last something was happening to help alleviate some serious problems. Excellent service form this GP. Thank You!

what a joke it is trying to get to see a doctor now they have changed their appointment system it is all done by telephone consulutation they do this i think to save them seeing patients how can a doctor say that a injury is ligament damage with out seeing it the sooner they bring back the old appointment system the better i dont go to see a doctor unless i feel i really have to and now feel that it is a waste of time trying to see one at this practice

THIS SURGERY IS A JOKE, ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE A DOCTOR UNDER THE NEW SYSTEM, IF THEY HAVE ANY SENSE AT ALL THEY SHOULD GO BACK TO THE OLD SYSTEM. NOW YOU CAN NEVER SEE THE DOCTOR YOU WANT TO SEE, THEY DEPEND TO MUCH ON JUNIOR DOCTORS

This surgery boils my blood, trying to get an appointment is nigh on impossible, then when you do manage to get through you have to tell a receptionist what's wrong with you and they decide whether you're important enough to warrant an appointment then the dr has to ring you back, I had this problem today. I did not want them to call me back at work as I don't want everyone in the office to know my personal business. I really think the doctors should reconsider this appointment system as it clearly isn't working, more so for those of us that work. We get told that the doctors have a very busy workload and from what I can tell the doctors are having more work to do by having to become telephonists as well ! Just ridiculous, I shall be looking to find a new doctors surgery. !
