I got thro to the surgery first thing in the morning in less than half an hour. Receprionist Clare listened carefully and kindly. Dr Okudo rang me back during the morning as promised. He reacted with urgency to my potentially serious issues. A kind and competent nurse took my blood. Dr Dowling rang me with results and arranged hospital admission via A&E for me. Resulting in a very smooth process at the hospital. Dr Okudo followed up, ringing me to ensure I was ok and that all appropriate actions had been taken. An excellent service in these tricky times. Thank you
Thankful and wish to share the appreciation - keep up the great work all.
Shocking service!! Can't book appointments anymore - just pot luck if you manage to get one of the ones when you phone on the day. If not you're directed to the infuriating online form that asks irrelevant questions & take forever to fill in - and that's if you know what you're doing. God knows how the elderly or incapable manage.
Getting to even speak to someone is impossible these days. You've let covid overtake every other ailment in priority & it's ridiculous. Use your common sense & go back to letting people actually see or even speak to a doc with jumping through arbitrary hoops.
I am very disappointed by the service i am receiving re; repeat prescriptions. I always put my prescriptions in on time, but i never receive them and it involves me going to Normans chemist at least twice in order to collect my prescriptions. Either they do not get the approval back within 3 days, or they are not sending them over - but what has upset me is, i have contacted the reception, to be told they had them and would be with the chemists - to then go over today and they still aren't there. I work and i can't just keep trailing over to chemists. I wasn't given any help, just talked over and told the doctors were busy (which i completely understand) I now will run out of medication today - even though i put in a repeat prescription on day 24 and i cannot get back to the chemists until Friday afternoon. I wanted to put a complaint in and was told to write a letter or do it online - but i cannot find an email or an online complaint form. I find the doctors / nurses i ever need to speak to very helpful and supportive - but this issue with prescriptions is very stressful and i found the receptionist unhelpful.
I got a home visit by doctor Matt Barber on Saturday/ Sunday night 1June. I found this doctor really , caring, thoughtful, thorough and giving clear explanations. He even came back a few hours later to check if I had improved. I have to give a 10 out of 10 for this home visit!
