Dear Sir/Madam Having booked an early appointment on 16th July 2015 for 07.05 for my daughter to see a Doctor I had to contact my employer to inform them I would be late in for my own duty from 0700hrs to 1900hrs as I had to accompany my daughter to see the GP. I arrived at the surgery at 0700hrs, given myself and my daughter ample opportunity to book in with the very polite and helpful Receptionist, we took our seats in the waiting area and were expecting to be called at our allocated time. At 0725hrs we were still sitting in the waiting area, so I enquired at to what the doctor was doing and how he could be running late as we were the first in the day to be seen by him. I was informed he had not arrived for work yet and because he lived a long way away he could be stuck in traffic. I feel if you live some distance away from work and are likely to encounter traffic on your way, I suggest you leave earlier and not keep your patients waiting. I have had to now rebook the appointment for another time.
