Dr Alex McEwen is the true personification of everything that is good and right about the NHS. She is a wonderful GP. She balanced knowledge and skill and medical competence with empathy, care and kindness. I feel listened to but also confident that I am in the best pair of hands. She is a rare jewel that is making such a difference to peoples lives.

Dr Sullivan was amazing. I came in to talk about a difficult topic and she couldn’t have been any kinder. She listened to what I had to say and then explained all the options I had before letting me decide which was best for me. I couldn’t have asked for a better GP today. Thank you so much

I was booked in for a telephone appointment at 13.00 on the 4.10.25. Nevertheless, I was contacted at 12.20 and 12.40. I only realised that I had missed these calls when I prepared to receive the call at 13.00. Returning the call was not an option as all I received was an answer phone message. I was called again at 13.50, but again as I was not expecting the call this one was missed. Whilst I do appreciate that calls take different amounts of time, I couldn't simply sit by a phone on the off chance that the call would be made well before or well after the appointment. I am not in the position of having to complete a further e-consult and wait up to 4 weeks for another appointment.

Please could you stick the agreed appointment time - or text to alert a patient of a significant time difference. Alternatively allow the patient to call back (within reason)

I came for a standard health check on Monday 1st September and within 5 minutes Jessica Pitts had identified that I had an issue with my heart rhythm. She was extremely professional and very considerate to my needs and feelings and dealt with it very quickly. She, and Dr McEwen were both very reassuring but it was made clear I needed to seek further assistance from A&E. I just wanted to say thank you to both, but in particular to Jessica for doing her job so well!
