Unfortunately some of the older receptionists are far from good. Rude, unhelpful and extremely patronising. After reading some of Longcroft’s reviews I’m glad I’m not alone but surprised these people are still employed in care. Certain receptionists are letting down the Doctors (who are doing a great job in difficult times) and giving the surgery a bad reputation. The nurse I saw was equally as bad, she couldn’t care less when I mentioned an elderly man was outside in the cold waiting to see a Doctor. She said “he wasn’t her problem? Employees of the NHS at their wurst!

Suggested improvements
Acknowledge patients when they arrive at the surgery and not ignore them. Have clear instructions outside the surgery during COVID of procedures so patients know what to expect. Have members of staff who have good people skills. Have staff who show empathy when dealing with patients. Have staff speak to patients how they would like to be spoken to.
