Short wait, very civil professional advice from nurses Jo.
I took my husband to the Urgent Care Service at Larwood. He was seen first by the nurse practitioner then by the doctor, who referred him to the surgical admissions ward at Doncaster RI. Within 2 hours there he had been examined, diagnosed, given temporary relief and discharged with a note for surgery on the first available list.
We are extremely lucky to have this walk in facility attached to our surgery and are very grateful for the prompt, professional attention my husband received at Larwood & DRI.
A very professional service
Although the Doctors are very good at this surgery some of the reception staff are surly, obstructive, and bordering on being outright rude.
My recommendation would be that all reception staff are sent on customer relations training.
If you are able to see any of the Drs. it is always possible to make an appointment. The walk in clinic is also a superb service for urgent none A & E care. If you have a preference of Doctor there can sometimes be a wait of maybe a week for an ordinary surgery appointment. This I think is totally acceptable.
