Spoke to someone called Sam on the phone who was extremely rude regarding my sons eczma who now has open cuts due to larwood surgery ignoring my requests for steroid creams.
Resulting in me having to take my son to A+E just for some cream that could of easily been provided by the surgery.
ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED WITH THE EXPERIENCE I HAVE HAD SO FAR!!
TRIED FOR 2 MONTHS TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE BUT UPON TRYING ON-LINE IT EITHER KICKED ME OFF OR WAS "TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE" AT VARIOUS TIMES OF THE DAY, UPON TRYING BY PHONE I WAS KEPT HANGING ON FOR OVER AN HOUR OR THE LINE WENT DEAD.
AFTER FINALLY SPEAKING TO SOMEONE ON A WEDNESDAY TO GET AN "APPOINTMENT" (PHONE CALL) I WAS TOLD AS THE PROBLEM WAS OVER A WEEK OLD I WOULD HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL THE FOLLOWING MONDAY - ALMOST A WEEK!!
TODAY IS THE DAY, MY PHONE IS CHARGED AND I'M READY FOR THE CALL, ONLY TO RECEIVE A TEXT TO SAY ITS NOW MOVED TO TOMORROW DUE TO ILLNESS!!!
LETS JUST HOPE WHOEVER IS ILL ISNT TRYING TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE ABOUT IT!!!!
LARWOOD USED TO BE EXCEPTIONAL, NOW ITS DREADFUL - THEY NEED TO SORT THEMSELVES OUT!!!
I have been using this system at the surgery for some time now I feel it absolutely works so well. No waiting on the phone no waiting in the surgery.
I send details through email as I feel I don't forget to mention things that might be important and may forget face to face. I have always had a text message after submitting the on line request. I always receive a phone call the same day and have always found their delivery of prescribing appropriate. An immediate face to face app if it's deemed necessary.
I think this service is fantastic and should be rolled out to other surgeries
Today I tried to make an appointment to see a GP. I was told a GP would phone me, which she did, thank you.. She was very helpful. I was worried about how I could possibly be diagnosed without actually seeing the GP face to face She booked me in for an xray at BDGH, and told me to go when ever I could, I've been, had it done, results will be sent to my GP in 2 weeks, I will then be able to see my GP and be given treatment as necessary, when they know whats the problem. Thank you everyone, couldn't ask for better service.
I have never reviewed a GP surgery before but after what I witnessed today I just had to say the receptionist who dealt with the rudest man ever I have ever had to listen to deserves a medal!!
The tone of his voice and the way he was speaking to the lady made my blood boil Nobody goes to work to be spoken to like that!!!!!
Well done for keeping your cool so professionally handled.
