Not great service, I've had problems with this surgery on several occasions. Most recent was was my 2 year old has conjunctivitis, I called on my dinner to try and get an appointment and was told that because he is over 2 years old I would need to buy something over the counter or go to the opticians, my partner went to the pharmacist after work to get some drops, which we both knew would be impossible to try on a 2 year old. Knew i needed antibiotics to treat it. We both work and he goes to nursery, he cant go if he has conjunctivitis which means i cant work and pay the bills. The worst service i had from them was a couple of weeks back when i was called by my little boys nursery because he had a very high temprature, I came out of work and rang the surgery straight away, only to be told he needs to be with me before I call, bare in mind it took over 10 mins to get through to reception for them to tell me I would have to call again when I had picked him up. Anyway did what I was told and called again when I had picked him up but after another 10 mins or so, no luck in getting through so I just drove straight there. When I got there I explained to the receptionist I had tried calling but no-one answered, she disappeared in the back then came through and told me I would need to go outside and call them then wait for them to call me back to get an appointment???? It was pouring down and I had a poorly 2 year old, couldn't believe what I was hearing, waited in my car for over half an hour then waited another 15mins inside to be seen by the doctor, who made me feel like a total inconvenience. Never checked his temp, all she did was check his chest and look down his ears... said it was "probably a viral infection" lucky my little boy was fine and it wasn't an emergency but point is it could have been and they handled it badly. 9 times out of 10 you can never get through, when you do all the appointments are gone, and i find the staff unproffesional. Not happy with the service at all and usually I'm not a complainer. Moving surgeries, hopefully have a better experience in another practice.

Why do I have to explain my medical condition to an untrained receptionist? Who then decides if I get an appointment or not. Most rude and unfriendly staff. When you can actually get an appointment doctor is ok

After recently being discharged from hospital after a second heartattack. I was given medication to help the heart. I have had a severe reaction to the tablets. Tried to get some answers from my Dr''s but finished up filling a form in which I was assured would be dealt with that afternoon. 3 days later I am still waiting. This is just not good enough. There have been many complaints regarding the service by this Surgery. In the meantime I have stopped taking my essential medication until this can be sorted. I cannot get an appointmen to see a Dr. Because of the system that is being implemented. So it may have to be a visit to the very overstretched hospital

Rang for an appointment because pregnant but extremely bad symptoms to the point I couldn't stand etc... and was told by the doctor that what I had wasn't an illness (even though it prevented me from working) and to "suck on mints"... she didn't check me over or anything. Carried on feeling unwell, went the next week to be told to stop annoying the doctor, she won't do anything for me and if I faint go to a&e..... !!! Well I got worse to the point the pains in my stomach became so unbearable I drove myself to the hospital which they checked me all over completely and found I had a really bad urine infection which I'd probably had for a good while!!! Since then I've tried to make appointments at the doctors with no luck, you can start to ring at 8.30am and by 8.33am they answer and tell you they are fully booked for the day. But I've noticed they only give out appointments until their dinner hour, by 1pm they lock the doors until about 2.30pm and after that people are there for pre booked appointments from weeks back etc... and they even mess those up! One woman told me she had been called in to have an injection for whatever reason then when she got there they told her they had got the dates wrong etc... My old doctors were amazing, they would do anything for you, staff were friendly on the phone and in person, and to come to this where they all have bad attitudes and 1 braincell between them is unbelievable. I've found I can't move to another doctor because of the area I'm in etc so I will be looking into this further as I can't keep going there just to be told to suck a mint or not to harass the gp because I'm dizzy!!! What sort of world are we living in!! Sort yourselves out Kinmel bay surgery!!!
