I write due to the experience of my daughter who has a chronic ongoing skin condition which unfortunately medication prescribed is not having an effect, head to toe is affected, this has been going on for the last 8 months and was referred urgent to a dermatologist 4 weeks ago and still no appointment. It's affected her mentally and her family she is embarrassed to go out and has to cover up. The reception are obstructive in every way. She had a text saying she had an appointment this morning only to turn up and they had made a mistake. Told to phone in to get one WHY!!! They should have given her an appointment. Also, the practice manager is Claire and a receptionist is Claire, "she's not the Claire you want" the receptionist told her, mocking her! PALS seriously need to invest this surgery as does the health board. I am in my 43 rd year in the NHS and work in a doctor's so I know my daughter is getting a very poor service from this practice. !
Only been with the practice since September 2022 and have found the service excellent, all the staff are friendly and very helpful.
I have never had a problem getting an appointment with either a doctor or a nurse.
My brother spent 45 minutes on the phone trying to get a appointment when it was the doctor that wanted to see him from 8-30am till 9-15am only to be told no appointments and to ring again tomorrow this surgery was sounded out in 2018 for a poor appointment system you can not even get beyond the door terrible service
Worst surgery ever!! Three times in two months I have been left without pain medication for 24 hours,due to their mistakes! And when I rang to complain,the receptionist was very rude and aggressive! Tried to say it was my fault!wouldn't come out to see me,even though I have agoraphobia,and find being outside very distressing! And what surgery nowadays closes at lunch? And what surgery closes for half day on Wednesdays? Terrible place! DO NOT USE!!! I should have known better,as when I was filling in my new patient forms,5 people came in within ten minutes to complain about prescriptions!!
Tried to book an appointment with an audiologist as requested by doctor. Qued up again only you be told I cannot make the appointment at that time as I have to ring back the next day. When I rang back a very rude receptionist told me to ring back in 10 minutes, which I did. After informing the very rude receptionist I had already been in agony for 3 weeks she decided that I was allowed to book an appointment in two weeks time. When I asked her if there was any another way I could deal with my problem she replied "Yes. Go private". Charming.
