Absolutely the worst "medical centre" ever. The reception staff are beyond rude. They have absolutely no medical training whatsoever yet they are happy to talk over you and are patronising and abrasive when you ask why, every week, your repeat prescription has not been sent to nominated pharmacy.Again and again. Reception staff definitely need to understand that we contact you because we are unwell, as patients. We should not have to feel that we are an inconvenience, not should our privacy be compromised by staff discussing us openly from behind the reception desk.

Attempting to get an appointment at this surgery is a nightmare. You have to phone at 8am on the day you need to see a dr and initially request a call back from the Dr before you are even considered for having a face to face appointment with a GP. Very often even if you start trying to get through to the surgery at 8am by the time you get through there are no more phone back appointments available that day. There isn’t a specific Dr actually allocated to be at this surgery on a regular day to day basis so you never get to see the same Dr .This means that there is no continuity in your medical care which I consider is particularly problematic if you have a long term medical condition or disability There is only ever one Dr on duty at the surgery at any time. Last week when I phoned to get a call back appointment from a GP I was actually informed by the receptionist that there were no Drs on duty at the surgery that day.

The only reason my elderly Mother uses this surgery is because it is on her doorstep, but the family are seriously reconsidering this. She has had a number of serious falls in the last 3 months which has resulted in the onset of mixed dementia. Following her latest fall in the early hours of the morning, I requested a doctor visited her. He could not be bothered until the Friday by which time she had another fall and was hospitalised. It transpired that the root cause of her problem was the medication she had been prescribed. The doctors are too fond of issuing repeat prescriptions without taking into account how one reacts against another, and her age and general condition. Not only are the doctors inefficient but they are a danger to their patients! The family will be changing to another, safer, practice.

Called 8 AM at the first hour. Scheduled me at about 10. Got there and explained me that doctor thought he is off today so receptionist offered me an appointment 1 hour and 30 minutes later. While in the waiting area one patient got sick and vomited, ambulance took him to hospital. I wander if his appointment was delayed 1 hour and 30 minutes as mine or even more

The place is clean and tidy, and information like opening times are available. The receptionists are cheerful, and helpful and welcoming. But are under huge pressure as they don't have enough appointments to offer people and they take the flack for this. Dr beeston lacks people skills. She made me feel like I was wasting her time. Even when I cried there was no empathy or attempts at comforting me. She looked at me like she had never seen a person cry before. She was dismissive of my concerns about my proposed treatment, and rushed me out without talking through things with me. The nurse I saw a few days later was really good. She took time to listen to my concerns and talked me through what everything meant. She showed patience and empathy and made sure I knew what was going on. I am really glad my family talked me in to going back to see the nurse. I will be asking for the nurse instead of the Dr from now on.
