Had an appointment today and it was a complete waste of time. The doctor named something that i had and told me no information about it, how to deal with it or what to do. She just said I was fine and said Bye leaving me no choice but to leave, not knowing any useful information. Will not be seeing this doctor again

I don't often need to visit the surgery other than for collecting prescriptions and medication reviews, but have found the GPs and nurses generally very helpful. However I find the attitude of reception staff quite rude.I have stood at the counter waiting to collect a prescription, while they are sitting at reception, giving me no acknowledgement at all, while they finish what ever they are doing, sometimes taking as long as 5 minutes. It takes nothing, other than good manners,to look up and say"Hi I won't be a moment."I did the job myself for 20 years and always had a good relationship with the patients.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback and we are pleased that you have found the Doctors and Nursing staff to be helpful, we are however concerned about your comments regarding the Reception staff. We regularly provide feedback and training and expect our staff to be polite at all times. Please can we ask that you contact the Practice Manager to discuss this in more detail? This would of course be confidential.

I have been with the surgery since I moved here in the seventies and have always had good care and a couple of prompt referrals under the 2 week rule, which turned out to be negative. If only my late partner had had the same care and prompt attention he might still be with me now. This was at a practice in another county. The only downside apart from trying to get an appt, and I can understand the reasons behind that,is one or two receptionists who should not be doing the job,or need retraining, one of which I encountered today, her manner was abrupt to the point of rudeness.,it takes nothing to be nice, but a lot of effort to be nasty. It was a busy morning surgery, and I only wanted to make a follow up appointment, and her attitude was not good enough and she was letting the surgery down.

I'm disabled and have many problems, the other day I was ill and looked like I'd end up in hospital, the dr came straight round within 10minutes of talking to me and contacted the hospital while with me. He managed to keep me at home and treat me which (touch wood) seems to be working . Many of the newish drs are brilliant and I trust them with my kids health . The staff are always trying to help especially the ladies out on the desks. Thank you all for your hard work .

My husband has extremely high blood pressure which he is suppose to see the doctor regularly to monitor but is unable to book an appointment. He saw the nurse to get his blood pressure checked and discuss his associated symptoms today as he couldn't get through to book an appointment with the doctor. She told him he needed to see the doctor but again he could not book an appointment. Surely this is unacceptable for someone in his position-trying to ring through to get an appointment increases his blood pressure because of the frustration of a) getting through and b)if he eventually does get through there are no appointments. We have been registered with the surgery for over 40 years and until now have had no issues. I worry that he will suffer a heart attack waiting to get an appointment. Please sort this appointment issue out as a priority.
