Dreadful GP Practice probably the worst in Dunfermline.
A bit advice for anyone moving to the Dunfermline or surrounding area, avoid this practice like the plague.
I have been registered with Hospital Hill for approximately 10 years. I have always been treated with respect and understanding by all the GPs who have taken their time to listen and discuss my health issues. They are approachable and sensitive to my care.
My diabetic care is second to none because the nurses and phlebotomists are amazing and clearly enjoy their job and are only a phone call away.
The last 18 months have been a trying time for all of us, and feel the surgery has coped and dealt with brilliantly during the pandemic considering the situation. Repeat prescription has never been a problem to order.
The receptionists are always pleasant when I call and try their best to arrange an appointment that suits me.
Overall, I am really pleased with the service they offer and I am so grateful for the care they provide and will treat them with the respect and dignity that they show towards me and my family.
Awful service. Difficult to get through on phone and when you do you get told there are no triage appointments left that day and to phone next day. Ok my problem is not urgent so why can't I just book appointment for couple weeks time. Have to divulge info to receptionists then triage and then doctor. What happens to confidentiality. Not impressed by system at all.
Everyone was rude. Dr belittled me down the phone and lied about calling me when she blatantly did not. Receptionists avoided my call. It’s disgusting to see people who work in healthcare that don’t care
I understand that the health service is under pressure from the COVID situation.
It is however not an excuse to fail to keep patients records up to date.
For this reason I can’t think of the value of visiting this practice till standards are upgraded. It is stated in the medical oath “I will do my best to help the sick to the best of my ability and judgement”.”Not to use there skill or knowledge to harm or kill their patients”
I will ask what skill or knowledge was used in this instance.
I’ve recently had medical issues which were referred to Victoria Hospital, a scan which resulted in a biopsy, 10 days later I had to have another scan. This situation was distressing.
My scan went missing and the results apparently do not exist. This was after being informed by radiology that my GP would have to discuss the situation with me.
No cared to inform me or acknowledge what those results were. I was sent a letter stating that I required a blood test and another scan to make up for the one that I have no results of.During the blood test I was told it was a test for cancerous cells.
Thankfully everything is okay I cannot image what it would have been like for someone who had bad results.
This is why I make this statement to make sure someone acknowledges this and it does not happen again.
