Have been waiting an hour and 20 minutes since my appointment time. Last time I had an appointment I waited an hour. Why has this surgery not planned their appointments properly to avoid over an HOUR delay to be seen.

I've always found the doctors at this surgery to be extremely helpful especially Dr Bennett and Dr Uti but today 8/11/16 I feel so disappointed because a letter was sent to the surgery from Lewisham hospital foot clinic regarding my mum who has foot surgery just over a week ago and has been in serious pain. They did a test and it showed infection so the letter was sent asking the surgery to prescribe anti biotics urgently. I spoke to them and they told me that the letter was with the duty doctor , Dr Adeyeye and that she would do the prescription when she was finished with her patient and fax to a nearby Chemist for my mum. I rang about four times and the receptionists spoke to the doctor and the Chemist rang the Surgery because my mum was waiting there and the prescription wasn't done. I rang again just before 6pm and was told that she said once she is finished with all of her patients for the day she will do it which means my mum has to wait another day and one more sleepless night of pain for a prescription even though it says URGENT on the letter. I know every patient is important but that is unacceptable.

I will never understand how it's become acceptable to be made to wait an hour for a scheduled appointment. And this happens every time I visit. Ridiculous.

We find the GP's excellent - thorough and kind, and although I have my own GP whom I am lucky enough to see 90% of the time but I am happy to see any of them. The appointment system seems to work better than most and I have never had a problem getting an appointment for my baby daughter. I highly recommend this practice.

I have been with this practice for 3 years now and see Dr Neal. While the practice is busy, meaning that appointments can be scarce and scheduled visits run slightly late, I am incredibly impressed with and grateful for the quality of care I receive here. Dr Neal, while clearly busy, has always taken the time to understand and investigate my concerns, discuss treatment options in language I understand and prescribe/refer me to appropriate treatments. The appointment text reminders are useful and the practice uses a comfortable level of technology. The practice seems to be aware of the need for more appointments and is apparently doing its best to widen access - there are patient participation groups and the like putting their heads together to resolve this.
