I have had problems getting appointments for the same day as the phones don't open till 8.am the surgery opens at 7.am and all the appointments have gone and also you don't get through at 8.am sometimes it takes at least 20to30 minutes before the phone is answered

What a surprise a doctors surgery that actually listens to it's patients, and discusses solutions rather than the prescription route. Very friendly staff and Dr Beech is very thorough on examinations. Would definitely recommend this doctors surgery.

I went into the surgery yesterday 27/11/14 after being in considerable pain all day on the off chance that they would have an appointment. I also had an inquiry relating to a referal for NHS hearing aids. The receptionist Jayne was very helpful from the word go and offered me an appointment with Mrs Sue Tonks the Nurse Practitioner if I was prepared to wait about 20 minutes. I said I was more than willing and thanked Jayne for her prompt and helpful manner. I then went on to explain that I needed a referral for hearing aids and asked if I would need a Doctors appointment for another day to sort out the referral. Jayne was again very helpful and apologetic that she was unsure and went to ask the Office Manager Hilary for her opinion. At this point I have to say I was astounded at how rude and unprofessional Hilary was. She made it clear she was not happy at being asked by Jayne and gave me a filthy look and was very off hand to Jayne who was simply trying to help. Jayne came back to try and help me further and as there was a queue now building up behind me I told Jayne not to worry. But Jayne said she was happy to try and help me further and tried her best to resolve the matter. At this point Hilary came out of the office glaring at me and said in a very off hand manner " can you move so I can deal with the queue". I was disgusted with her attitude and had I not felt so ill I certainly would have retaliated but I let it go. At this point I felt very upset indeed but fortunately the Nurse Mrs Susan Tonks was so lovely, helpful and kind to me when I went in to see her that I felt reassured. Not only did she pinpoint my illness and give me tablets she also took the time to ask one of the Doctors about my hearing aid problem and sorted out the referral there and then. I would like to say that the Nurse Practitioner is a service that I think is vital to our practise. I would give both Susan Tonks and the receptionist Jayne 10/10 for professionalism and kindness but The Office Manager Hilary - 10 as her whole attitude was appalling and I feel she is not a reflection of the other staff at the practise

We are delighted to hear the positive comments that you have written regarding our Nurse Practitoner and member of our reception team. We are of course looking in to the other comments made and will be following our strict practice procedure in dealing with this. We do have a practice complaints procedure if you would like to go down this route. All complaints are treated very seriously and we pride ourselves on resolving any issues that patients may have very quickly.
