I am a victim of severe psychological abuse, and have been for many years, as have people I care about. I have also been with this pratice for a long time. Despite this, I have never been identified by the pratice as a victim of abuse or offered any assistance in dealing with this trauma ever. It is incredibly difficult to come forward about severe mental abuse, but I believe that healthcare providers should be more proactive in recognizing and offering help to those they might suspect are victims.
It is generally, quite difficult to get an appointment on the day, as even though I call at 8 am one is still number 17 in the queque. It is frustrating to find that when you are number 1, there are no appointments left.

Keep changing their rules - one week you can phone up IN ADVANCR for an appointment. Next week you have to ring up on the day. There is NO system. There is one receptionist who acts like the appointment comes out of her wage packet. It’s a joke.
As a healthcare professional in training I’m disgusted by the way you are treated by all of the reception staff and some GP’s. The staff are rude and you’ve got more chance of seeing Santa than you have of seeing a GP because ‘all the appointments are gone’ and none of the reception staff even try and help you get booked for another appointment on alternative days or times or methods. Doctors don’t even take notice of long term problems and fobbed off every time because it’s easier than investigating. Do not recommend at all!!
