The service has deteriorated quite dramatically with the introduction of the new appointments booking system. You cannot get through on the phone, I’ve waited over 2 hours to get through. When u get through there are no appointments left. You have to physically go in the practice and queue up to speak to the receptionist. The phone are constantly ringing but are not getting answers. Highly frustrating and potentially life threatening for older patients.
Had to wait in a queue outside - so was late for my appointment at 11:40 hours.
It has been relatively easy to speak with a Dr. The amount of time however to get through to the surgery can be frustrating.
A nightmare attempting to get a repeat prescription for new medication.
I felt it was an uphill battle today given that I set everything out in writing four days earlier.
What has happened to Hassengate? I ask because before the pandemic appointments to actually see a doctor face to face was straightforward, now it’s a phone consultation only. Not all ailments can be diagnosed and treated over the phone. I used to hold the Hassengate medical centre up as exemplary in every area and probably one of the best in Essex but things are out of kilter and you have to wonder when, if ever it will get back to where it once was.
When you phone the surgery the stock answer is “you are number 25 in the call queue” which is ridiculous. I even got to number 1 and was put on hold to which there was no answer at all.
If this is the way of things it’s not very good and needs addressing and l am sure with good will it can be.
