I rarely contact my GP surgery and avoid it at all costs due to constant unsympathetic attitude each time....Unfortunately, I was unwell a few months ago and phoned as I needed antibiotics, I literally phoned for 3 consecutive days and waited for over an hour each time to eventually be met with very unsympathetic receptionists who were verging on rude, who basically told me to try again the next day! I have just tried to book an advanced appointment for my child and was told there was nothing and to try to phone at 8am each morning! ...we all know where this is going!!!... This GP surgery is literally a joke, there is no standard of care displayed to patients whatsoever...more staffing is obviously needed, along with training in people-skills...

Suggested improvements
Better training for frontline staff employ more GPs for longer hours or a staggered system (not everyone can be unwell between 8.30-9.30am nor can they spend an hour waiting for their call to be answered or just walk out of work for an emergency appointment) consider better appointment system why not introduce on-line consultatations for simple queries, would save a lot of time and headaches for everyone Display a more friendly and sympathetic attitude
