Harwood Medical Centre was once very good however it is now at rock bottom. After having complained about none disabled staff filling up the 3 disabled parking places with their cars and none disabled staff continually using the wheelchair access toilet located in the surgery I now have animosity directed at me from the practice staff. Recently my wife who is disabled with Multiple Sclerosis and is doubly incontinent asked for a single sentence to be written on the practice headed note paper to say she needs to take with her on holiday incontinence pads etc which she could then show to the airport staff to allow her to take these pads with her on holiday free of charge. The senior partner (ADH) in the practice agreed to write the single sentence but wanted £33 from the disabled person before he would do it; which I believe is totally extortionate disproportionate and unfair. Additionally if you feel you have a complaint about this practice and put it in writing to them you never get a written response back as they are required to do in Law under the terms of the complaint procedure which again is a legal requirement for them to have. New doctors come and go with great frequency it seems this practice cannot for reasons which only the management know keep these new doctors and what remains seems to be the chaff of the profession who probably stay because they have nowhere else to go. The practice is dogged with poor management and doctors who are more concerned with their own personal status than that of the well being of their patients. The only way for this practise to go is up as they are now at the bottom of the pile.
