When I was first ill I couldn’t get through on the phone and two days later ended up ringing for an ambulance. Two days afterwards The surgery did contact me and check I was ok and booked me an appointment for the following day which was very helpful .

Getting through to any surgery is an issue for them all. Vote out the Tories and perhaps we can get the help you all need. !!!

I tried to ring the surgery for help in the afternoon and was in a queue of 21 people . I spent 2 1/2 hours on hold. This is not acceptable.

Suggested improvements
Answer the phone like you used to do . You have a new multi line phone system which is clearly not fit for purpose.

On 13 March, after finishing decorating works at our sons home (and in a dirty state), my wife and I on the spur of the moment as we were passing the surgery decided to call in, as after seeing an item on TV regarding an illness, we wanted confirmation, otherwise as to whether I had the illness. We called at reception and explained to the receptionist our problem wanting to make an appointment to see a Doctor. I was then advised this illness was contagious. We then had to explain the TV programme had not mentioned this at all. We were then directed to go to a remote and empty waiting area and stand away from any other member of the public, whilst they contacted a Doctor to see me. Within 5 minutes, I was greeted by Doctor Konu and ushered into her room. My rash was investigated in full and it was confirmed I did have what I had seen on TV, but it had passed its contagious stage. This was a great relief for us. During this same visit, Dr Konu also checked various other health factors, pulse, blood pressure and ECG to confirm all was functioning as required. All of this was carried out on the spur of the moment, in a most thorough way. It also provided us with a great relief. To say this visit was First Class, would be a total understatement. Both the Reception Staff conducted themselves excellently, looking after the welfare of other patients and the Doctors attention was superb.

Suggested improvements
Nothing on this occasion
