Receptionists to listen to what is requested by patients and book appointment times appropriately, rather than having to go back the following week for a longer appointment.
Triage phone calls are a great new addition and helpful. However treatment and suggestions are not always helpful nor suitable when patient has held off due to not wanting to bother any one.
The reception staff are the rudest people i have ever spoken to, either in face or on the phone. It is almost impossible to get an appointment, you never see the same doctor. You are made to feel like an inconvenience.
Not allowed to make an appointment with your doctor of choice.
After calling at 12.30pm for an appointment upon discovering something which is medically urgent and needs attention I was advised I will receive a call in a couple hours, it is now 5pm and still no call received. GPs wonder why patients go to A&E, its because they have no trust in them. I now have had to call 111 and they said it was disgusting, no one called after advising the receptionist what was wrong I should have really gone to the top of the list of their so called triage system.
