Having moved to Hampton Medical Centre recently as my previous local GP retired. I was amazed at how efficient, professional and polite the receptionist was. If got used to something quite different over the years. It was such a pleasant surprise that there still are GP receptionists who don’t think they are medics and incharge of conducting a triage service for their GP. from past experience I would usually be asked - why do you need to see a doctor, or we are full go to hospital, or you don’t sound sick see a pharmacist I can’t let you waste a doctors time! At the Hampton Medical Centre they were so polite and respectful. I asked if it would be possible to get some help today and the answer was ‘of course let me see what I can do’ It’s like a breath of fresh air. Amazing.
