George Street Surgery

I moved here years ago as it was a marvellous surgery. We had 4 brilliant GPs, but they have all now retired and been replaced by one new doctor. Sadly he is as ignorant and rude as they come. He is picking up his pay packet and couldn't care less about patient care. It is impossible to see anyone no matter how desperately ill. My family has suffered with serious ill health but still cannot get proper GP care. The receptionists try to diagnose you before they'll allow you have to an appointment. My last medication review was done without me present by the doctor I never see. The good doctors have left so as not to get tarnished with this surgery's terrible reputation. We intend to register elsewhere before we become another one of the horror stories coming out of this surgery.

Doctors who dont care and receptionists who think they are medically trained. This surgery is an absolute joke. The good doctors don’t stay there long. So happy to have transfered my self!

Phoned penygraig surgery when my 18month old baby had temperature and ear infection. Was told to they would ring me back but never did. I kept ringing as out of hours said they couldnt do anything while surgery is still open..told 3 times they would ring me back, When i rang half hour later they were closed. Had to take my baby to out of hours eventually and they were appalled. That was a year ago and the same has happened today. Rang them because my 3 yr old child was sent home from school ill. Told a gp would ring me back but nothing. No wonder a&e is under so much pressure when gps are so ignorant!!!
