Spring Street Surgery (across the corridor) had to send me over to Fountain Surgery for an ECG monitor, got an appointment at 7.40am which was great, but I couldn't check in on line (as I was referred there by my surgery, Spring Street Surgery) so I had to wait in the waiting room until 8.30 for a human receptionist to see me. The disappoint thing was that I was 1 of only 2 people in the waiting room until about 8am. I could find a human to talk to (it was my first time there) and no one thought to have a quick look around in the nearly empty waiting room. it was just a waste of a 7.40am appointment for someone else needing to get to work and a wasted hour for me to see a human. The 2 Stars for reception is more about the computer system. The receptionist at 8.30am was helpful and got me fitted in. Perhaps when the booking was made they should have known that I couldn't check in, so give me some instructions to find where I was meant to go. If the nurse knew I was 20 mins late and reception is not open, then a quick look around? Just disappointing as the services they offer are pretty good. Last part, I was meant to have a 24hr ECG and a resting ECG but was only given a 24 hrs one in the end. My doctor requested for both but this is a minor point.
