Three appointments in a row have either not been booked (by reception), my details have not register on the check-in screen, or have been running over 45 minutes late. Reception staff are unhelpful and very quick to point out when you are causing them an inconvenience even though they have made mistakes and caused you a problem. Impossible to get through by phone to make an appointment. Have just found out that potential issues on blood tests have been ignored for 6 years (only found out because I requested print outs to take to a private GP). When are the Fountain Practice going to start providing the service they are supposed to?
Was given an appointment for blood tests, sat and waited for half an hour until reception opened only to find out they hadn't made the appointment. Missed a paying client because of this. Receptionist was extremely rude and unhelpful, telling me to "moan at the nurse not at her". The attitude at this surgery is disgusting. Patients are seen as an inconvenience rather than the reason for them being there. I have been the victim of numerous mistakes including appointments not being made, incorrect prescriptions given and refusal to diagnose conditions even when symptoms are clear. Am seriously considering moving to a different surgery after this latest error. But looking forward to hearing the practice manager's excuses for the incompetence and bad attitude of the staff there.
