Due to my condition, the Doctor was unable to help me and advised me to go to A&E, I was distressed to be told this as I had chemical in my eye which had been in there for nearly two hours due to be sent from the pharmacist to Griffin Road Surgery, to Whitehaven Surgery where I waited in extreme pain for 45 minutes to be told this. However, the person I would like to thank very very much for her kindness and thoughtfulness is the District Nurse, Louise, who saw me in a distressed state and took me to A&E in her own car, in her own time as she had just finished her shift. Thank you Louise, you are the type of person that makes our NHS what it is today, she is an angel.

ringing the prescription line for medication needed right away i was met with a patronising abrupt receptionist stating i needed 48 hrs i exp[lained it was needed urgently to be told well u it might not b ready please retrain staff to be a little bit more sympathetic to peoples needs

Gone rapidly downhill since operating on a skeleton staff of GPs Whilst I understand the challenge of attracting new doctors to West Cumbria, My Family and I feel let down by lack of continuity and by basically the nightmare it is to secure an appointment. Backwards when you are offered to travel to a Egremont or Cleator Moor address! Not everyone has a car. I remember ten years ago I used to request to see a certain gp and it was not the norm to travel sites. My sincere thoughts are with the Reception team at Whitehaven who are front of house and no doubt dealing with some very displeased patients (some of which will no doubt be very aggressive to them).

I would like to thank and praise the reception/admin staff team who endeavour at all times with patience and caring attitudes to help me with my numerous request regarding the care of my elderly mam they are all an asset to Fell View I would also like to thank and praise Alison Graham who on a recent visit acted towards my elderly mam and myself with understanding, respect, empathy, and with the greatest of professionalism.
