Rang the surgery yesterday and was told to ring in the morning at 8.30am. Did as I was asked and kept trying for forty minutes before getting through, then had to hold on again. Once through, got the appointment as wanted. We are extremely happy with the service of the doctors but contacting the surgery in the morning is impossible with the dreadul wait getting through, . I was making this appointment for my daughter who had a school run so she was unable to make the call at all. I made the call for her and had to spend 40 mins of just constant dialling, I was not put in a queue it just kept getting the engaged signal. I cannot understand why you do not operate a queueing system or an 8.30 email service or text call. In this age of modern technology your system is outdated and inefficient and certainly does not meet my expectations of customer service.

The medical staff at the surgery are excellent, but it is extremely hard to get an appointment. I often have to try calling multiple times (up to 27 one morning) over a half hour period to try to get through. Even once you are through you wait on hold for a long time, often there are no appointments available sooner than a week out, by which time most people will no longer need the appointment! More phone line and staff are required, plus I think the Surgery is oversubscribed and they should reduce the number of patients on their books/not take on any new patients - alternatively this surgery is meant to be part of a partnership of surgeries, maybe they could allow patients to book appointments with the other surgeries in their group in order to balance appointment loads?

I am generally satisfied with the doctors but the appointment service is atrocious. Every morning you try to make an appointment you start calling from 8:20am in the hope they might open it a couple of minutes earlier and you can get through early. However you make over a 100 calls and I hate to think how much it has cost me. This morning the two rare occasions I have got through to the waiting queue I have been hung up by staff so I had to start again. You wonder why casualties are clogged up if everyone faces such a battle getting an appointment. For working families the opening times are not good enough.

i waited 25 mins on hold only to get through to be asked to hold again. Yet again told no appointments available on the day and that I cannot book one the next day as they are book on the day. surely surgeries know when busy times are and should make arrangements to have the right amount of staff available to take calls and the right amount opf doctors to see patients. Its always the same and extremenly frustrating especially when you hardly ever visit the GP. but everytime you try to hit a brickwall :(
