Appointments are quite difficult to get depending on who answers the phone. Most are caring, helpful and informative, at least one makes you feel like you are taking liberties even contacting the surgery or using the NHS. I try to go into the surgery and talk to the receptionists on duty as they are lovely. My named GP is unfriendly and appears to sigh when you explain your symptoms, do patients bore the GP ? I have given up on this GP and will in future use other contacts with medical expertise or book with a different GP at the surgery.

I completely understand the current situation with regards the NHS and the tremendous strain the service is under, but as an unwell person, being barked at by a receptionist or feeling like a nuisance when you finally get to see a GP isn't acceptable. Respect works both ways.

The nurses, especially Natalie and Sue are excellent. The receptionists are very good although they do a difficult job. Appointments are not easy to come by but maybe that's because the doctors are busy. In general, I am very happy with Fern House.

My main problem is with the waiting time on the telephone whilst trying to make an appointment. I'm not sure how to resolve this but feel that something better could be done.

I have been with Fern House Surgery for 47 years and have seen many changes. I have always been happy with my appointments with my doctor even though it is hard to get an appointment. It is much better now that the telephone system has changed an most of the receptionists are really good and helpful. The dispensary girls are great and give a wonderful service and Sue and Amanda always go the extra mile. The nurses are wonderful as well.

I am happy with all the services at Fern House. The doctors surgery in Wickham Bishops is also very good but I am not sure if it is still functioning .

The surgery always is very helpful and thorough, phone lines are busy but you get a great service.
