Excellent Gp Practice. From Reception to Nurses and Doctors. Getting an appointment isn't easy as they very very busy, but I have always found Dr H, Dr R and Dr M to be caring, compassionate and person centred. As a result I would defo recommend this practice to others

Stay away from these drs, nothing good about any of it , in fact the only good part is telling them you found somewhere new to go

Eden Medical is awful from attempting to make an appointment to visiting the doctor. I can never get through on the telephone, i have tried phoning at different times throughout the day and can be waiting 30 minutes for my call to be answered. I now call in at 8am if I need an appointment, however I won’t be doing this in the future as the snotty reception staff now ask why I want to see a doctor and I am made to announce my problem in front of a queue of other people who are waiting at reception. I have then be made to feel that I am not worthy of an appointment and have been told to go to the chemist and try over the counter remedies when I don’t exactly know what the illness is. Turning up at the surgery for appointments on time is a waste of my time. Always running late, the last appointment I had I was left waiting nearly 2 hours past my appointment time and I had to book in half a days holiday at work because of this. Some of the doctors have an attitude problem, not bothered about any issues I have been to see about. The worst case was going to visit a doctor and after spending less than two minutes talking to the doctor, being forced to leave with a prescription for antidepressants even though I did not have depression or any illness linked to depression and I also said I did not want the tablets. I ripped up the prescription in reception. I have had an ongoing medical issue for years, have visited the surgery numerous times and nobody has taken it seriously or offered me any helpful advice. This is perhaps because it is not deemed serious enough, however it impacts on my life every day and it is not depression. I am now trying to find another practice in Carlisle to join. I would NEVER recommend Eden Medical or some of the doctors who practice there. I really think Eden Medical needs to take a long hard look at how it’s being ran, instead of posting patient poll results on their surgery wall bugging themselves up. I have never been asked for my opinion and I don’t honestly agree with the poll results. Eden Medical has let me and my family down, my husband had a serious operation and had complications after surgery, he could barely breathe or walk but I was made to bring him to the surgery. We were not allowed a home visit so he visited the surgery and nearly collapsed in the reception and nobody’s came to help - they all just stood and looked - I am DISGUSTED. Shame on you all calling yourselves medical professionals.

Bad news about stoping tablet order by phone , think about those without a computer , the old ,and those who found it the best way to order tablets , no thought to these folk , it now takes three weeks to see a doctor , your better by then , or is that the idea ????, Some of the staff and doctors getting rude now, need to put a cheek on that , it's getting out of hand. Staff and doctors still not talking to patient, are we ment to guess whats wrong ?? Some posters still need changed and still no water to drink , let's have fingers out , very unpopular telling your problems at the desk for the world to hear , ok maybe on phone desk NO AT ALL , time for me and lots more to find new doctor, pity it was good , now really gone down hill , finger out mite save it !!!!!!!
