I had cataract/glaucoma I-stent/laser surgery as a day patient with a local anaesthetic last week. Everything was carefully explained to me verbally and I received a booklet beforehand covering everything again in writing. The care in hospital was very good. The operation was painless and I was kept informed during the procedures by the consultant Gokulan Ratnarajan.. I was provided with clear instructions for aftercare and all the necessary eye drops and patch to cover the 4 week recovery period. The cataract surgery has improved my eye sight and the i-stents/laser have reduced my eye pressure to an acceptable level. I am now on the waiting list to have the other eye done.
