I found my experience to be beneficial and no urgency to get me to leave after my consultation. Sorry I can't think of any negative comments to make.

I don't go to the doctors frequently, but when I make an urgent appointment I very rarely actually see my doctor. After seeing another doctor for a referral to the hospital, which they booked very quickly for me, there was no follow up from my doctor about the prognosis or treatment. After my first appointment at the QEQM hospital they were going to book me an appointment at the William Harvey hospital for an urgent appointment. After waiting 2 weeks there was no response so I contacted the hospital and they sent me an urgent appointment within a week, I have now arranged another appointment at the WH hospital as they didn't contact me. I have to have an operation by the middle of October which is the 18 week waiting period. I have had no contact or appointment with my GP since the initial appointment, diagnosis or imminent surgery.

Have been reluctant users of our previous Practice in Herne Bay and made as few visits as was necessary As patients of about 18months at East Cliff now both of us are pleasantly surprised at how well run and efficient the Practice is WELL DONE

I have always received a great service from my GP, from the practice and from the NHS in general. My GP has always listened to my problems and has promptly referred me to a specialist/consultant when required. I have always received great service at the QEQM. At one time making an appointment was very difficult and getting through to the surgery by telephone was a stressful experience. Things have improved and I like the online service. However I think the surgery could benefit from a telephone queuing system that informs callers how long they will have to wait.

I like that I can book an appointment with my GP in advance so that I can fit in visits when I'm not working. I like that I can see the same GP who I have seen for a number of years and who feel that I have a good working relationship with. I have confidence that I will receive the best treatment available. If I have what I regard as an emergency I am able to speak to my GP over the phone if he's available or visit the surgery to be seen by another doctor at the end of surgery if he's not. If I need a blood test, I would like to be able to arrange that after seeing the doctor and have it done at the surgery. I usually only need 1 blood test a year and have never been able to get this done at the surgery as they are so booked. I wasn't very happy that a receptionist wasn't able to inform me whether the other surgery in the same building which my husband attends offered blood testing or not. I work in a Post Office and am expected to have basic peripheral knowledge of lots of other institutions.
