Went to the Surgery for a cough, was diagnosed with heart fibulation and within 4 hours had been sent for an ECG, blood test and chest Xray. I was seen by a cardiologist, re-seen by the Dr Botting, medicine was prescribed, further treatment was organised clinics booked and the problem was in hand: Magnificent!

Not for the first time the doctors at Glebe Road responded with extraordinary care and professionalism to an urgent situation - with especial thanks to Dr Yorke Barber and Dr Rice Jones. Dr Yorke Barber dealt with a situation concerning my adult daughter with intelligence and compassion. He listened carefully to what my daughter had to say, took time to observe her at the initially shorter 'walk in' surgery appointment and made a 'next day' full appointment for her where he quickly organised a number of tests and prescribed appropriate and useful medication. He continued to monitor the situation thoughtfully over the next two or three weeks with further appointments (made by him) such that she felt safe and supported in the hands of someone who has both up to date medical knowledge and a wealth of experience to draw upon. The GP's welcomed family involvement at the point when my daughter wanted her father and me to accompany her though she soon felt well enough to go to appointments alone. As always we felt that the GP's involved put the patient first and gave up their time in a way that demonstrated excellent care and first rate practice - following up visits to the surgery with phone calls to my daughter and letters to other professionals involved. The advice given was kept up to date as she improved - there was no 'one size fits all' approach - on the contrary I felt that my daughter was treated as an individual with individual health care needs. She was off work for one month but had it not been for the professional and quick intervention of Dr Yorke Barber I believe she would not have recovered as quickly as she has. It was a situation where the speed and quality of the response made a real difference to the outcome. The care given to my daughter reflects my own experience at this surgery where I have been a patient for the last 25 years or so. Thanks too to the office staff and receptionists who help to make this surgery a beacon of best practice in the NHS.

Great experience today. I had to have a little minor surgery and have been dealt with from the start very professionally. Originally saw Dr York-Barber who diagnosed in late January, I had an appointment date set by early Feb for today and the surgery took about 15 mins from start to finish. With the amount of people waiting I was expecting to be delayed and expecting the worst , however maybe a couple of minutes late was called by a nurse who took me through to the treatment room and made me feel comfortable. Dr Botting turned up within a couple of minutes and after explained the procedure started work. Anaesthetic was surprisingly fast, surgery was painless, all was explained whilst work was carried out and finally it was all over, stitched up, steri strips applied, plastered and on my way. Now 10 hours later, I'm at home, still no pain and very impressed. Thanks

This is a very friendly and professional service, where all staff (GPs, nurses and support staff) have always made an effort and taken seriously any concern that I or my immediate family have had.
