I was considering registering with this practice, waited on hold 20 minutes then receptionist told me a solicitors letter would be insufficient to prove my address! This experience after having read so many negative reviews online regarding challenges facing patients to make an appointment and subsequent disappointment when eventually getting appointment with a doctor I decided to register elsewhere.

Suggested improvements
1) Answer telephone in less than 20 minutes. 2) Treat prospective patients with respect. 3) Make it less unappealing to anyone considering registering with your practice. 4) Deal with your inability to offer appointments in a humane manner. 5) Understand people get sick after 08:30

Information was not communicated back to me regarding medication despite reception staff saying they would ring me in the afternoon and having waited around 40 minutes on the phone to get speaking to staff in the first place that morning when trying to work . I had to ring again and wait another 20 minutes on the phone to get through - not at all efficient when I work full time !! In fact when I tried to follow up on the required information using email contact processs, I was informed via email by a senior member of the admin team that I would have to speak to the Gp about the medication issue . The Gp had already been spoken to by reception staff following my first phone call and it was reception staff who said I would be contacted in the pm by the senior admin staff who would relay all that was necessary to me . However , this was not the case as that person appeared to know nothing about it and told me to speak to the Gp . So I had to ring again and then I was eventually given the information by reception staff , which was actually already available on the patient electronic notes it would appear from earlier that day but nobody bothered to tell me as promised or even when I tried to try and find out using the email system . Would be good to be treated more respectfully and for people to keep their word and follow through by doing what they say they will .

I am a severe asthma patient who attends hospital every 2 weeks for ongoing treatment and have attended for the last 10 years. As well as the injections I receive at hospital I have a number of prescriptions which I take and will take for the rest of my life. I sent my repeat prescription in and went to collect it latter in the week. The prescription was not issued due to me asking a week early, Really! I will be taking these medicines every day what do you hope to achieve. Thankfully I was not going on holiday for a fortnight and can wait and reapply wasting another doctors time. What is the purpose of this do you believe I may be cured in the next week and not need these drugs?

At the start of Jan 2020 i made an appointment with a doctor who after a 3 week wait i saw on fri 24th jan who sent me for an x-ray and asked me to make a follow up appointment which I was unable to do on the day because there were no appointments available ( appointments are released and booked daily) i then phoned the health centre today Friday 31st Jan @ 12.42pm i know i was 42mins late but fell asleep after being awake for a long period (17 hours because of night shift working) to book an appointment (appointments are released at 12.00 noon) for any doctor in the next 2 to 3 fridays to be told there were ten appointments released(over 3 Fridays?) and all had been taken, and to phone on monday at twelve,( you need to phone on the day that you would like an appointment eg, mon if you want an appointment on a mon etc thoughout the week) i explained i work night shift ( 12 hour shifts 4 nights a week) and that was why i wanted a friday the receptionist apologised but said there is a shortage of doctors, and that nothing can be done. 4 weeks since attempting to get an appointment I have had the x-ray but will not be able to get the result or any treatment for at least another 4 weeks (provided I can get an appointment next Friday) I can see why people just go to A&E instead of waiting to see a doctor if you try to go though a proper procedures and you get nowhere, if i had of went to A&E last fri I would have seen a doctor/nurse had an xray and had the results in the same day.

I had an appointment this morning with Dr Crowe who is an absolutely brilliant doctor. Dr Crowe explained everything in detail and in a way I could understand. She put my mind at ease with her easy going but thoroughly professional manner. 5 stars for Dr Crowe. Overall I do see improvements in the surgery which will benefit the community. Agree that it’s not always possible to book the day and time of an appointment but I am thinking most, if not all, surgeries are the same. I have always been treated courteously and with the utmost professionalism by the receptionists and the doctors and let’s not forget the nurses in the treatment room who are absolutely brilliant. The online app is so easy to use and for me is exactly what I need.
