I had an appointment with the nurse for 9:45am, had still not been seen at 10:45am, unfortunately I had to get back to work so could not wait any longer.
Why such long waiting times? An hour should be plenty of time to be seen. Too many patients?!? Very frustrating and a complete waste of a morning.
I have just spent 25 minutes on hold trying to book an appointment. When I hung up to call again, the message that was played said that the centre was now closed for general enquiries. I don't have a medical emergency and will call again tomorrow to try to book an appointment, but I am extremely disappointed that my phone call was obviously ignored for such a long time. Bearing in mind that the centre is open until 7.40pm, I am surprised that no one answered the phone and that it was left to ring for 25 minutes.
Just wanted to flag up a consistent issue we have found with prescriptions. My son and I have repeat prescriptions needed 1 or twice a year. For the past 4+ years we note that every time the duty Doctor makes a request for us to pick up the prescription it is NEVER ready at Lloyds next door. I have also noted when in the pharmacy the persistent frustration of customers arriving for prescriptions that aren't ready/available; this must be a daily problem for the staff, why has nothing been sorted in YEARS??
So yet again this week, I arranged with my Duty Doctor to pick up the prescription having spoken to her 1:30pm she said I could collect it on my way to the school at 3pm. Arrived at Lloyds, nothing there, no idea about the prescription. Went into the Health centre, yes, it was sent electronically at 1:36pm....
Back in next door to Lloyds, no we don't have it here....
Went to go back into the DHC which now has a queue 5 deep and I eventually had abandon my place in the queue to collect the kids from school...
Ring up this morning, exact same thing. Lloyds still have no record, they have downloaded things this morning, mine not on there.
DHC team claim it's been sent.
WHAT NEXT?? I have spent over 1hr 40 mins sorting this and still no further forward and now I'm down 24 hours on medication.
It embarrassing and frustrating and should not be even classed as a service.
And to think the pharmacy is 20 paces from the reception desk....
Partner had a phone call from am extremely rude doctor who basically turned down care because he didn't deem his needs important.
Why isn't a man suicidal needs important.
It tool alot for him to call and to met with that type of unprofessionalism is just outrageous. I will find this doctor and personally speak to him myself as it's damn right ridiculous that he has been made to feel like it wasnt important.
Had an appointment with Dr Gardener 14th July 12 noon. Very very helpful doctor.
