I realise that times are difficult and that the nhs is stretched but the service of this surgery is utterly inadequate. To get an appointment for a telephone conversation with a doctor is impossible unless you take a day of work, on the off chance that you might get an appointment that day. Having taken three days off work before eventually getting a five minute phone call from a doctor - who had not read my notes and then who did not listen to my symptoms at all and then who prescribed a drug I cannot take is not an adequate service.

Suggested improvements
Find a way to make it possible to book appointments less then six weeks in advance. Doctors are not the only people who have responsible jobs, not everyone can just take days off until you win the lottery of the phone system and actually get an appointment. Provide better training for receptionist staff. Not treat all patients as if they are idiots. Listen to what patients are saying. Encourage doctors to read patients notes so they are better informed about who they are treating, actually allow the patience to describe their symptoms and not just rush through an appointment when you finally get one in 2 minutes - which is all I was allowed before being prescribed a drug I cannot take.

Dear patient Thank you for your comments. During the covid-19 pandemic we as a surgery are seeking the best way to serve the majority if not all of our patients. I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss our appointment booking policy with you. Please feel free to contact me using the surgery contact details. Kind regards Alan Dunham Practice Manager

Many disastrous experiences but Dr. Ngo is their best asset and they should use this doctor as an example to others. Far beyond my expectations she provided a fantastic service, with compassion, she listened, she explained and you immediately know she knows what she`s talking about. I`m so very thankful to Dr. Ngo.

Be kind, polite and listen... people don`t go to see a doctor because they feel great... and when someone takes action that alone gives you confidence. Otherwise it`s just making a bad situation worse....

My husband and I have nothing but praise for everyone at Hazlemere Surgery. We have both had excellent care from the clinical staff, who take time to explain everything. My husband has had major health problems this past year and has had everything fully investigated and managed in a timely way. The Reception staff are helpful and friendly too. OK you have to wait in a long phone queue sometimes for an appointment, but we have never not got one! Thank you - we appreciate everything you do for us.

Once the pandemic is over it would be good to be able to book non urgent appointments online again

Everytime i ring to make an appointment or to speak to anyone the receptionist are rude and not helpful even in situations where you need help. The doctors are so helpful but they need to change there receptionist as they need someone who is actually helpful not rude and blunt

Suggested improvements
change the receptionist or train them so they are actually helpful

Yes i know we are in a pandemic but being diabetic i am made to feel i am a burden on the NHS okay diabetic appointments may not be a priority but to not be regularly checked is very worrying but also trying to get Sharps collected is impossible was promised a call back on 3 occasions re what to do with sharps collection as was told its not the surgery problem call the council then the council saying its not our problem its our subcontractors so tried to get advice but instead got a form through the post from the surgery with a telephone number on it who do not want to know in my opinion if you do not have the virus do not have another illness or just suffer in silence

Suggested improvements
listen to your patients

Dear patient I am sorry to hear of your frustrations, but this new regulation has been put in place by the NHS and the government. I apologise if you feel that our reception team have been dismissive of your query. I welcome you to contact me at the surgery to discuss this matter further and allow us to assist you with filling the relevant form for your sharps collection. Kind regards Alan Dunham Practice Manager
