Obviously every surgery has a problem now and again. Why? Because it is run by human beings but my family experiences over the last 5 years have all been positive.
The days when you saw YOUR doctor are long gone. Doctors nowadays often have a ‘Speciality’ and seeing one of them is often the best way.
Both Cumberland House surgery AND Macclesfield General Hospital provide An excellent service without which I would not be alive today looking forward to my 84th birthday in a few weeks time.
THANK YOU ALL !
The car parking is an excellent facility.
Contacted the surgery today about my husband’s unexplained rapid weight loss. Got a text message telling him to go for a routine blood test? Where is the care and compassion? Not even a face to face appointment with a Doctor. Shame on the GPs at Cumberland House who dealt with the Klinik request. Did not see him, did not examine him to see what is happening.
I got a call after doing the online consult form, to be told I wouldn’t be seen due to me not having a negative pcr test and the dr Paterson said I probably had bronchitis. If I felt worse or breathless I should go to a&e I did have to attend a&e and even they was shocked to see I hadn’t been seen face to face regardless of a pcr test I had still done a lateral flow test. Turns out I have pneumonia! Which could of been sorted a number of hours before if she had done her job properly!
Although a large surgery all the GPs, with the exception of 1, are absolutely excellent. All of the female Doctors are an absolute pleasure to see and always give exceptional service; Doctor Collins in particular must be called out.
The receptionists are extremely friendly and helpful, and the online booking app is a dream!
