I have bi polar disorder, I should have a blood test every 3 months, But my Doctors have not been getting the results of the blood tests since December 2015 when the lithium levels were low & again in March 2016 the levels were so low there was a red hospitalization warning. I only discovered this last week. I have had 2 manic episodes already this year & my doctors asking me why. then he looks on the computer for my blood results and we discover that nobody gives a dam nobody is monitoring my lithium levels & that is why i have been so ill twice this year already. his next move is to tell me to make an appointment for bloods at reception, the woman at the desk gives me an appointment for next week. that's not good enough, what is the point of them telling me how important blood tests are if they can’t even be bothered to get the results and act on them, I AM IN A DANGEROUS POSITION AND THEY ARE DOING NOTHING FAST. THERE WAS NO NEED FOR ME TO LOOSE OUT ON 2 MONTHS THIS YEAR. no bloods in a hurry, no appointment to discuss blood results, even though my lithium levels are so dangerously low, no talk of med increase. They just don't know what they are doing at Crown dale medical center when it comes to mental health. I was moved there from a real mental health team because of Government cuts 3 years ago. why have I put this up on here? because this situation is typical of what is happening to mental health suffers all over the UK. and I have no other place to air my grievance. the thing is when i am ill i don't realize, but my friends and family do and they suffer me. Are the doctors going to pay the bill for the broken window i smashed? they think my illness is a joke at Crown dale Medical center. I must just add that he looked at me and decided i am fit and well, what a mistake, he is a fool. you cant look at me and say i am fine especially if my lithium levels are so low, so why on earth did he? Years ago the mental health team told me if the lithium levels are too high or too low it is very dangerous. that's playing on my mind.
