Once registered, it's easy to book online, but only for Doctors' appointments. It would be great if other types of appointment could also be booked online. The surgery has a self-service check in system so most of the time it's not necessary to speak to the receptionists. I'd prefer it if my full name wasn't displayed on the monitor announcing when the Doctor is ready. Maybe first name and last initial?

The other types of appointments are not available to book online as we have a booking protocol which states what type of service is booked with a specific clinician, e.g. annual diabetic review needs a double appointment with Healthcare Assistant, annual asthma review needs to be booked as single appointment with a Nurse. We have enquired with a clinical system provider and unfortunately there is no possibility to change the display setup for an individual patient. Cloister Road Surgery
I've had the experience of several GP's in various cities and London councils over last 2 decades. This surgery is the best by far in all parameters and in treatment outcomes. The senior team are the best leadership group and GP professionals me and my family have ever come across. the reception staff are all great and it feels like one big happy family

The staff at cloister road have always been incredibly friendly and my encounters with the doctors have been great too. I have found it relatively much easier getting appointments here when I need them compared to previous surgeries I have been with and hence really feel looked after very well. Call ups for annual check ups have also been great and made me feel really valued. The only criticism I can genuinely think of would be that I have sometimes had to wait a while (10-15 mins) after my scheduled appointment time to be seen. However I understand it is like this across the majority of nhs services anyway and the excellent quality of care received when I am seen outweighs this

We can assure you that our clinicians always try to see patients on time, but sometimes it takes longer if the previous patient's problem is complex. Our clinicians send the message to the screen in waiting area informing about the delay, but we strongly encourage our patients to ask reception staff for an update if the waiting time is longer than 20 minutes. Only bugbear is having to wait 3wks for appointment. Having said that if emergency can call in morning or have telephone consultation. Drs are friendly and helpful as seem the receptionists. Happy with surgery
