Impossible to get an appointment with the doctor of your choice or with the one who has been treating you. As for repeat precriptions - this has happened to both my husband and myself twice - a request is put in, is processed by someone, sent to the chemist, collected and the drugs are not the ones requested. Apparently my notes were confusing - so a random collection of drugs were prescribed! No wonder the NHS is struggling if any old drugs are prescribed.
