Waited for over an hour even though I prebooked.. Totally unacceptable I'm afraid. What's happened to this surgery

I have a daughter who was born partially deaf and has several long standing conditions. The care (or lack of) she has received at this Practice has been shocking. We have made the decision to move her care else where and though we have to travel far, it is worth worth it. New doctors who come across my daughter are aghast that she has not been referred for further help and investigations and they have referred her on themselves. Also from almost exactly 2 years ago, it has been almost impossible to get an appointment at this practice. You can't book an appointment on a Monday to be seen a few days later. You either have to book 2/3 weeks in advance (and even then appointments are limited to very early in the morning or very late!) or you have to call on the day at 8 am which is a big issue as you are frequently left waiting 30 + mins on hold and that's if you're lucky! Usually now when you call , you can't even get through to be put on hold, you just get a busy tone and the line goes dead- you have to keep re- dialling 10-20 times in order to have the luxury to wait for a further 20 + mins. Receptionists can't be bothered, don't care and are rude....AVOID this place if you can. Unfortunately I have stay on their books for a bit longer but I shall be moving myself and the rest of the family elsewhere asap!

This is a fantastic surgery - the reception staff are always so polite and usually offer serveral appointment times to choose from. The clinicians are very experienced, show great empathy and always try to find a solution. I have never felt fobbed off or rushed, and always feel included in my care. The surgery is always clean, and the waiting area is comfortable. We are extremely lucky that this is our local surgery.
