I find the appointment system at this surgery frustrating. I rang on Wednesday morning for an afternoon appt unaware that the booking system had changed. I subsequently rang back at 1.29pm to book for the afternoon to be told there were no afternoon appointments as a doctor was off sick. I rang again Friday at 1.30 for an afternoon appointment but was unable to make one for my daughter after 3.40pm ( a request because she was at school). I was informed that the appointments have to be issued in order of time and to phone back in 10 minutes. I rang after 10 mins, then again after 15, then again after 20 mins. On the fourth phone call I was finally given an appointment at a suitable time. Surely the surgery remains open all afternoon so why did I have to phone so many times to get an appointment for my daughter at a later time. This is a most ridiculous system. At the surgery, we have been kept waiting for 25 minutes

I called to ask for an appointment and asked if I could see a specific GP that I had discussed the symptoms with previously. I was told by a very nice lady on recpeption that the GP was fully booked for the morning appointment but I could ring up at 13:30 to try and get a PM appointment. When I called at 13:30 I again asked for this GP and was told "you don't get to choice", and I will just get the Next GP that is available. The new scramble for booking appointments 8:30 and now 13:30 is just madness, it was bad enough having to do it at 08:30.

Trying to get through to the surgery by phone is far too hard. there must be another way...

The consultation I have just had with one of the doctors at this surgery, could only be held up as an example of how NOT to treat a patient. To say that this doctor was arrogant, rude, terse and disinterested is an understatement. Any questions that I had about my treatment were dismissed as being unimportant, so the advice I was given was minimal and unclear . Suffice to say I do not feel that I was involved at all in the decisions about my care and treatment. The whole experience has left me feeling dissatisfied, angry and totally disregarded. A poor effort Church View!!
