I was called by the nurse for my shingles jab waited 1 hour and still not called in despite checking with the receptionist 3 times who said i would be called. Then the receptionist sent some one else in i told them that ihad to go what a waste of time and it has nothing to do with covid i was 1 of 2 people that hour i waited.i the staff are milking it and i got no apology

I am puzzled by the reviews I have read prior to joining this surgery. I can only surmise that everybody has a bad day or experience from time to time. Some people can also have unrealistic expectations from the NHS. To give perspective - I've had fairly major surgery in a good, private hospital and they 'misplaced' my notes over 3 times during my stay! Right, Let's start with the bad first. The appointment system isn't all online, which is a shame. However, the online NHS systems I have experienced aren't very good anyway. I'm sure there are improvements that can be made here in the future hopefully. Constructive patient feedback might help. Receptionists - I have had crossed wires once or twice, but everything was resolved amicably. One receptionist even called me back because she sensed some form of 'crisis' in my voice. Considering I was (and do) actually suffer with mental health problems, I thought this was a remarkable observation/save on her behalf. That alone cancels out any minor misgivings that may build up over time. Dealings with other members of clerical staff have been nothing but amicable and helpful. I cannot give a review of all the doctors as I have only seen mine. And I'm not naming him because I'm also selfish and don't want him overrun with patients all wanting to only see him, and then perhaps who knows, I won't be able to get an appointment!! All I can say is wow. So far, best doctor ever. Perhaps my previous doctors (at other surgeries) were a bit rubbish? Quite possibly. But this doctor appears to care - about possible side effects, quality of life, follow ups, etc. If I could pay and chose a GP to visit, I would not chose to go anywhere else. Lastly, everyone. Please try to remember this is the NHS and unfortunately there are restrictions and bottlenecks in the systems and it doesn't work exactly how we (the patients) would like it to. I should also imagine it infuriates the doctors at times too. The NHS needs an overhaul, but I'm sure few of us will want to pay the extra tax. Perhaps this review is all just through rose tinted glasses as a new patient. But I can honestly say these must be some hell of a pair of glasses and it will be interesting to see how things turn out in the future. But right now, I feel I'm in safe hands.

If you can register with another surgery then do it . Doctors change often, you are unable to get an appointment for over 3 weeks, then you don't see the same doctor. So have to explain everything all over again. The Doctors seem disintrested.
