Having read the NHS reviews on this practise it surprises me that the practise have not acted on the reoccurring complaints about reception staff. It seems they don't consider us to be worthy of their respect and they talk to us in the most condescending and patronising way. When you tell them that your not happy with the way they are speaking to you they hang up. Because after all they are the only ones who have the right to speak with a louder tone or disrespectful way to you. It's sad that the NHS is struggling as it is one would hope that the staff it has retained would love their jobs or people at least, after all your here to help, aren't you? Instead we are faced with mindless reception staff namely Ruth who feels it necessary to tell the world she's '65 years old love' meaning I don't have to listen to you and I deserve to speak over you because I am older than you. There are several complaints on the NHS site about a particular receptionist who is patronising. I wonder why they won't just address it or not make her front facing. I have been at this practise about 2 years now and although I rarely need to see a GP when I have they have been great. They are understanding and compassionate I have seen at least 4 different dr. It's the front facing staff letting them and their surgery down. I will be looking for another local practice.
