I feel the option to have calls triaged by a nurse would be very helpful as reception staff are not medically trained and in one instance because of this I had to get an appointment via the NHS helpline dispite telling the receptionist the reason for my call (severe reaction to prescribed medication). I was informed I needed to see someone within 24 hours due to the nature of my discomfort and missed a hospital visit thanx to the prompt action of the operator. I don't like to moan as I have every faith in the surgery and have been with the surgery all my life and rate it as the best but this was concerning.
i would like to be able to book an appointment 2-3 days in advance (other than the pre-9a.m appts) so i can plan around my day off,not just having to book an appt on the day. its a shame there arnt more parking spaces aswell. i had to park in the paying carpark up the road again today ( 3rd consecutive time) other than that,the receptionists are all lovely,polite and helpful. the surgery is always spotless too,so a pat on the back for the cleaning staff :)
