I would highly recommend this practice. I have been a patient there for over a decade. The staff are all without exception friendly and helpful.
I have been impressed by the consistently high levels of professionalism demonstrated by both senior members and their support staff in dealing with my several problems over the years together with the friendliness and an innate ability to put me at my ease which is truly appreciated.
For the first time in years, I have seen the practice nurses at Charlbury. One was for immunisation advice and the other for a smear (Rose Burns) . Both went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure I had what I needed. They were both professional, empathic and efficient. How fortunate that they are on our doorstep.
Having developed worsening symptoms, I called the surgery never thinking I would be able to get an appointment today. When I explained what the problem was, the receptionist was SO kind and understanding and slotted me in. The new GP Dr Moroni was delightful...again..understanding, kind and listened carefully to what I had to say. I went in feeling wretched and came out feeling SO much better
The receptionist I saw seemed to have a lovely personality, but the way she handled making an appointment for me was utterly shocking. She asked me very personal, intimate questions loud enough for the entire waiting room to hear and kept offering me appointments for dates and times I had already said I couldn’t do several times. It took quite a lot of courage for me to go and make the appointment in the first place, and I left in tears because I felt so frustrated and embarrassed. Your reception staff seem like genuinely caring people, but please, please train them to listen to the patient and treat them with a little more empathy.
