I'm very disappointed in this doctors I've had for 17 years. They ring and ask me to attend for a face to face appointment prior to my telephone call Asthma Review..but won't/can't tell me what this face to face appointment is actually for! I've emailed and asked and I've rang and asked... spoke to 2 different people who couldn't tell me but said they'd transfer me.... left hanging on for nearly 30 minutes and then they cut me off!! Emailed again... no answer so far. So I cancelled it leaving only my telephone appointment they said I needed before I could have any more inhalers. I only needed an Asthma review and wouldn't have bothered them if I didn't need my inhalers..... but getting an answer as to why I can't eat meat for 12 hours before my appointment and have to drink loads of water and take a water sample in...... FOR AN ASTHMA REVIEW?? Never had this in 17 years. Does anyone else know why as there's certainly no answer coming from them they have now cancelled my Asthma review knowing that I will need my inhalers?!?
Not easy to navigate the online appointment system. I rang for an appointment, only to be told to do it online. When I tried to do that, it wouldn't let me as I hadn't been registered for the "Ask my GP" facility. I then had to ring back again and contact the Receptionist who tried to talk me through it. In the end, she said she would contact the Nurse and ask her to ring me back. I tend to use lots of websites (like most people these days), but I find navigating this one ridiculously complicated.
Why can't I just ring up and make an appointment for the next day or two?
I have always found to whole staff to be exceptionally professional, efficient and caring.
There are some Doctors I like more than others but have no complaints whatsoever about any that I have seen. That's just a personality thing.
The building is spotless, the environment friendly, the staffs level of medical hygiene is spot on.
My only niggle is that we have moved to Crofton which is out of the catchment for Chapelthorpe and Chapelthorpe Medical Centre does not take 'out of area' patients!
Not looking forward to going to a new GP and having to explain mine, my husbands or the rest of my families extensive list of chronic + ailments! Once you have built up a good rapport with a GP you don't want to change!
That said thank you Chapelthorpe for all your great attention.
by far the worst doctora going the gp knows my 3year old and he had run a temperature not long back knowing full well it was tonsillitis now with this stupid coronovirus thing going around the reseptionest called hayley decided to tell me my son who's 3 needs to be sat in a room on his own. baring in mind he was just running a temperature and not showing or have another symptoms but that wasnt the worst of it basically saying the coronovirus was going around. 1) no one was in the bloody doctors surgery at the time they frightened my little boy which I then became very angry with the staff! telling him he should be on his own like who do they think they are! I left the gp in the end with a frightened little boy it's truly disgusting and then rang them up as wanting to complain woman again called hayley answered told he I didnt want to speak to her and she said in a rude tone I dont want to speak to you either rude child!
so if anyone wants to be seen by a gp and spoken to with disrespect then this is the gp to go to. I've had my son at the chemist who have conformed his tonsils are on the swollen side! so hes oky for those worried. I'm writing this to make you aware of this doctors and how you would be treat and spoken to by staff members complaint is going in there way
A good surgery, I have always been able to get my little girl seen when poorly the day I call. The GP’s are all very good.
I would recommend the surgery.
At times it’s busy to ring first thing however it’s busy surgery that serves a large community and this has to be taken into account.
