I have nothing but admiration for the receptionist doctors and all staff at cathays surgery you may have to wait if you have a pimple on your nose but i have had a few infections through the pandemic and if you are genuinely ill they are wonderful very careful with cleanliness i have felt safe and cared for Have been with this practice ever since it opened they are wonderful

Nothing when i heard of other practices I've been shocked as i received the very best treatment

Sometimes rude receptionists .. but the doctor i saw was amazing !!

Retrain the receptionists to be nice to everyone

Doctors and nurses are always a joy to speak with, reception is lovely despite being squeezed. Can be quite difficult to get an appointment and waiting times are long. Overall a very positive experience, especially in comparison to last year; big thanks to all the ladies at reception for all their help.

Women's health issues not always taken as seriously as they should be. Mention menstruation in any capacity and you'll have to fight for an appointment as they are skeptical of any issues related to that you're facing.

From my experience with the surgery, the doctors are brilliant so helpful and explain things fully to you. But the receptionists are rude, unsympathetic and make you feel like it’s a bother to them. It’s such an unwelcoming feeling when you’re trying to get your illness sorted. The waiting times for an appointment is a month plus which is ridiculous and they refuse to give emergency appointments for emergency conditions!! I’m now suffering with a chronic condition which is very debilitating and getting no help with it, very frustrating! The doctors knowledge and care is excellent but the admin is appalling!!

Doctors are good, but the surgery is out of date, not using electric prescriptions, email, or online bookings (even though they say they do). Reception staff are unhelpful and unsympathetic. Very long wait times for appointments. They have directly or indirectly caused me multiple issues in getting the correct medication for both ongoing and acute problems.

Update your systems, train your staff (or possibly treat them better so that they treat patients better?), please try to solve and prevent problems instead of cause them e.g. prescription errors, miscommunications.
