My grandmother suffered from dementia and had to be moved to this practice when she required residential care. She later required a nursing facility.
She had end stage CCF and her care was not of a high standard in her final days. The GPs involved lacked foresight into how her death would progress and although palliative, the necessary medication doses were inadequate prior to a weekend. She deteriorated rapidly (predictable in this condition) and was distressed and semi- alert in her final hours. Thanks only to the out of hours doctor, there was a marginal improvement in the hours prior to her passing.
This was not the first issue we had with the standard of care delivered. I would have concerns about having someone vulnerable or elderly relying on this practice unsupported.
