Since the recent merger it is almost impossible to get through on the telephone, I am now having to chase my blood test results every month despite making them aware I need the results to enter into my booklet for my rheumatology appointments. Today my results say a gp has been written to by the lab about one of my results, I have tried for 3 hours to get through to someone who can help but the phone is constantly busy! Just not good enough when you are worrying!

I am looking to leave this practice after 54 years. I have had further testing denied for an ongoing debilitating condition. The practice operates a strict policy of payment regarding acess to ones own medical records. It is our right to acess records but wen sick and considerable sums of money are expected. This is a barrier to our patient rights, from which they will not move. Very obstructive and unhelpful.

My experience is there is an unwillingness to explore a given set of symptoms that offer a more definitive diagnosis, which would then relate to the condition instead of a symptom based approach. So getting to the root cause of the complaint. I find Dr marshal unhelpful lacks knowledge. He is obstructive regarding testing. And severely misinformed. For example he stated we do not have B12 deficiancy in the UK. Well we do and it kills people.

Tried for two hours on two separate days to contact the surgery only to find the engaged tone all the time. Eventually had to go to the surgery to make an appointment with a nurse. When I mentioned to the receptionist about this situation I was fobbed off with " the surgeries are very busy ". This practice was a joke before the amalgamation but now it has gone beyond the joke. I have tried to register with another surgery only to be told that as I am already registered with one I cannot change. Don't get me wrong. If you EVER get the phone answered and you are fortunate enough to see a doctor you will find them second to none.

I currently live with 5 minuets walking distance of North Carlisle on Eden Street. Today I needed an appointment for my son. The only one I could get was at St Paul's, which meant a long trip into town. So not only the inconvenience of that we are also hardly ever going to see the dr we have had for the last year as it will always be with someone different. The merge of the 3 practices is absolutely ridiculous and extremely inconvenient. I have had the same Dr for over a year at North carlisle and now I can never get an appointment with him.
