Having suffered a haematoma which went septic I had an emergency operation in hospital. For the next six months (three days a week) I had the best after care service from the dedicated and friendly team of Practice Nurses. Megan, Pat, Caroline and Carolynn liaised with each other and combined forces to make sure my infection was cleaned and stopped from spreading. They regularly swapped notes and made me feel at ease and confident in their exemplary approach to healing. It was a long process as my wound had complications with reoccurring infection but this fantastic unit of nurses fought to stop further surgery. Thanks to their diligence and wisdom they saved me more agony and literally got me back on my feet again.
I respect and admire the well oiled machine that is The Canbury Medical Centre>
Thanks for everything

The staff at the reception is highly rude, highly unhelpful and have zero concept of customer service. Dr Thacker is briliant but sadly the non-medical services provided by this surgery are shockingly poor!
The online booking system is a complete waste of time. Could not find me an appointment up to a month in advance with any doctor on any day at any time. Had problems with this weeks ago and had to go to the surgery to book. Told that "internet wasn't being well used, so appointments reserved for internet were being removed and given out at reception." System "was working" but it clearly does not do what it says on the tin.
Sometimes it is difficult to park
It is not always easy to get through on the phone at 8.30am to make an appointment , you hang on and keep ringing for 15 mins and when you finally get through all appointments have gone.
These are slight problems to a great GP practice.
I was able to have an appointment on the morning when I went to request it. The time slot was not far out, and I was not rushed. The subsequent advice and referral were practical and Kingston Hospital X-ray department were extremely efficient.
