A patient aged 97 had not received their second Covid vaccination despite over 12 weeks having elapsed since their first one. This was initially queried on Tuesday 4 May and was told this had been marked as "URGENT" and that the individual would be contacted in the next few days. By Friday 7 May this had not happened so when this was queried again , were told that according to their medical records they had already received vaccination number 2. This is totally incorrect ! How can the medical records , of an extremely vulnerable person, be so inaccurate ?? This has to raise issues about the accuracy and competency of those keeping patient records at this practice. The 97 year old has still not been contacted about their 2nd Covid vaccination, why not ??
I have been with this surgery for 4 yrs and have had excellent service from all staff . My husband and I are in our 70s and lucky be be in reasonable health but whenever we needed to see any medical staff it’s not been a problem . We accept that we may have to wait for an appointment but we know we could always speak to a doctor if needed. Our NHS is one of the very best and we should treasure it NOT keep moaning about it and remember the staff are doing their very best for us .
